Working in Isolation Diary - Day 34 : The Jelly Bean Supply Has Run Out
Dear Diary: Tragedy has struck. I ate the last of the jelly-beans.
As if finding a decent cup of coffee in this town wasn't hard enough, just try finding a bag of Brach's Jelly-Beans anywhere!
The shelves are bare and all the Easter candy is gone!
Up until now I have been able to deal with the corona-virus, being a prisoner inside my own house, the pressures of working from home during economic uncertainty, and the end of Modern Family. But there is a breaking point for everyone and I reached mine!
Bad enough there isn't one funny comedy left on TV anymore (oh, how I miss 30 Rock), but now my ample supply of Brach's Classic Jelly Bird Eggs has run out. It was the one thing that kept me sane. The one thing that kept me from raving like a loon on my front porch. No matter how bad things got, I knew I could comfort myself with the simple pleasure of those magical little beans ...
Oh wait, they're on Amazon! Huzzah! All is well!
Today's Pic: This coffee bar is my favorite on the little island we stay on when we're in Croatia. The Beach Bar Bicikleta is perfect. Just look at that view! Last summer the owner asked me to do a series of photos to advertise her bar, and I gladly did it for a delicious cup of cappuccino.
With a little luck, I will be able to sit upon its beaches once more.
Today's Tune: Paradise by George Ezra.
